On the eve of the International Day of Forests, which was declared by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 2012 to raise awareness about the importance of forests and their sustainable management, Jože Prah, an employee of the Slovenian Forest Service and President of the Commission for European Footpaths in Slovenia (KEUPS), will present the importance of European footpaths and the activities that will be carried out on this year’s 50th anniversary of the European Footpath E6. It enters Slovenia in Radlje ob Dravi, runs mostly through forests, and ends in Strunjan. The main event with a hike along the E6 will take place on 27 September 2025 in Radlje ob Dravi. Later in the evening, members of the Radlje ob Dravi Mountaineering Association Evald Lampreht, Ludvik Podrzavnik, and Franc Glazer will describe their experiences and memories of the E6 route they have walked. The Radlje ob Dravi Tourist Association will present its activities as part of KEUPS.

The event will be held as part of the Radlje Manor project – the cultural and forest center of the upper Drava Valley.
