The ERA Board meeting was held from 20-23 April 2023 in Lisbon (P) with the kind hospitality of the Federação de Campismo e Montanhismo de Portugal (FCMP). The decisions of the ERA Board were as follows:
- Further discussion on steps required to become a leader of the ERASMUS+ or Interreg projects
- Discussed the financial future of ERA (projects, partnerships, sponsoring, membership fees, programmes etc.)
- Agreed further steps required of the working group Walk Leader to finish the 3-level education programme for the European Walk Leader
- Discussed the further steps required for the rules of „ERA Recommends“ concerning events and services
- ERA board is looking for new sponsors; ERA member organisations are welcome to offer possible contacts from sponsors for future cooperation at the European level
- ERA members are permitted to use the ERA logo: the member must request the logo via the ERA office; in return ERA will get the documentation with the logo for the event and promote it on its social media
- ERA is looking for a volunteer to help collect contacts details on Cultural Routes in Europe
- Organise the European Winter Walking Days in 2024 in Tyrol, Austria
- Retain ERA webinars (twice a year) with topics the member organisations are interested in
- Remind the Internation Landscape Day to the ERA member organsiations: 20 October
