Several long distance footpaths with hut networks exist in in Romania in different parts of the Carpathian mountains, for example in the Bucegi and Fagaras mountains. Booklets with sketchmaps in the Romanian language exist. Maps in such booklets can be useful even if you do not understand the language. Foreign publishers have published guidebooks in German.
